BALLARD is Paolo Ballardini rock guitarist who in his twenty-year career has always tried to broaden his musical horizons. He works as a session musician in theatrical orchestras of musicals (Mamma Mia !, Saturday Night Fever, Pretty Woman etc ...) TV shows (“Star Academy”, “I migliori anni”) and recording studios.
Since 2016 he's the guitarist of “EXCALIBUR” rock opera by the Breton artist Alan Simon; here the context of contamination, with roots in the most classic prog-rock, gave him the opportunity to share the stage with some icons such as Martin Barre (JETHRO TULL), Michael Sadler (SAGA), Richard Palmer (KING CRIMSON), John Helliwell (SUPERTRAMP), Moya Brennan (CLANNAD) and many others.
In 2021 he released three singles and three videoclip with great feedback from the audiance.
The first BALLARD album will be release in February 2022 and sees the guest appearence of Derek Sherinian (ex DREAM THEATER) Colin Edwin (PORCUPINE TREE) Brett Garsed (solo artist) Adam Marko (SPECIAL PROVIDENCE).
These singles are absolute successes as the melodic and technical mastery is perfect and the phrasing always limpid

Ballard debuted his new single ‘Too Soon‘ , a full instrumental track features a guest appearance by keyboard wizard Derek Sherinian (Sons of Apollo, Platypus, ex-Dream Theater). The song’s energetic arrangement puts Ballard's talents on display, and at the same time is comparable to works from Joe Satriani
